Self-Paced New Employee Orientation
Welcome to the 黑料门! We provide New Employee Orientation in a variety of modalities, please choose the option that best suits your schedule. Below is a quick snapshot explaining some differences between these options.
Self-Paced New Employee Orientation
This fully asynchronous online option allows you to complete the orientation at your own pace, providing flexibility to fit your schedule. However, there is no live support or engagement with other peers. This option works well for adjuncts, part-time employees, remote employees, or employees with alternative schedules. Below are instructions on how to access this online course.
Remote (Zoom) New Employee Orientation
Conducted via Zoom in a hybrid environment, this option offers live sessions with trainers, enabling real-time interaction and immediate feedback. It requires you to adhere to a fixed schedule during business hours, which might be less flexible. There are breakout room activities and opportunities for engagement with other new employees. This option works well for employees who want access to live support staff and peers but are not able to be on campus. To enroll in an upcoming session, please visit our .听
In-Person New Employee Orientation
Held on campus, this option includes complimentary lunch and more opportunities for face-to-face interactions with colleagues. While it fosters better networking and engagement, it requires a physical presence, which might not be convenient for everyone. This option works well for employees with a hybrid or in-person schedule, as you will also have time to obtain your DU ID card, parking permit (if needed), and any other in-person tasks. Access Self-Paced New Employee Orientation
To start the self-paced new employee orientation you must have access to your DU log-in credentials and be a benefited or non-benefited employee. 听Please follow the instructions below to launch the course, if you have any questions please contact Learning@du.edu or call 303-871-2979.
Step by Step Instructions
1. Visit the DU Learn platform, below are the links for both the benefited and non-benefited Self-Paced New Employee Orientation.听
A new tab will open, make sure to click on the "Enroll" button.听

2. Once you click on Enroll, it will take you to the DU Single-sign on page. Make sure to enter your DU login credentials and click on Login.听

3. After the DU single sign-on screen, you will be prompted to enroll. Make sure to click on "Enroll in Course".听
4. You will be able to click on "Go to Course" to load the Canvas course for the Self-Paced New Employee Orientation. You can also access this and any other courses in your
听
5. Once you click on Go To Course, it will take you to the Canvas course for the Self-Paced New Employee Orientation. Follow the instructions by clicking on "Modules" on the left side and then click on "New Employee Orientation". Make sure to enable pop-ups as you will need to load the software in a new tab. We recommend using the Chrome or Firefox browser.听
6. Congratulations, you're in! You can launch the Self-Paced New Employee Orientation from any electronic device. We recommend completing the the online orientation within two weeks of your hire date. To exit the course you can click on "Exit Course" at the top right of your screen and you will be able to continue your progress during any time.
