At the ºÚÁÏÃÅ, registration for Fall, Winter, and Spring Quarters begins with Priority Registration for continuing students on week six of the quarter and runs for two weeks. • Academic Advising
  Academic advising is a critical part of student success at both the undergraduate and graduate level. Advisors help students understand degree requirements, navigate campus resources and policies, and connect their DU opportunities to educational and life goals.Ìý

  Undergraduate students MUST be cleared by their advisor to be able to register. Once advised, advisors release the Academic Advising Hold on the Student Advising Profile, thus clearing the student to register.Ìý

  To prepare for registration, advisors should encourage their advisees to review their degree audit, make multiple course plans for registration, and check their time ticket and holds in My4D. Financial Holds update nightly. All holds must be cleared before they can register.
  Ìý

  All faculty, advisors and other student services staff use the Ìýsystem for advising, including maintaining advising notes and scheduling appointments. The purpose of this practice is to accurately and consistently document policy, procedures, practice and our interactions with students.Ìý
• Approvals

  Registration Approvals provide information on alternate pin removal, course prerequisite/restrictions, credit and course load approval, transfer credit, concurrent enrollment and forms & special permissions. Visit our Registration ApprovalsÌýpage for more information.

• Closed Courses & Waitlist

  The Automatic Waitlist process allows for a more proactive approach in the communication and registration of classes. The waitlist feature offers students a fair and consistent way to enroll in a full class if openings occur. Students are automatically notified via email when a seat becomes available. The student has 24 hours to complete the registration transaction. If the student does nothing, the process drops the student and notifies the next student on the list.
