Numerous graduate programs at the ������ are ranked among the top 100 in the country. U.S. News & World Report today released its 2021 Best Graduate School Rankings.

The Sturm College of Law is the only law school in the nation with three experiential learning programs ranking among the top 10 programs for consecutive years: legal writing (No. 7), clinical training (No. 8) and trial advocacy (No. 9).

������ Law’s full-time law program ranks No. 74 overall, while the ranking for the part-time law program is No. 11, up one spot from a year ago.

Other specialty areas of environmental law, criminal law, international law, dispute resolution, constitutional law, tax law, contracts and commercial law, business and corporate law, intellectual property law and health care law all rank within the top 100.

The Daniels College of Business experienced significant gains for two programs. The part-time Professional MBA program ranks No. 66, up 21 spots from last year. The full-time ������ MBA program ranks No. 80 in the nation, up from No. 91 last year.

“We are honored to be named among the best programs in the nation,” says Vivek Choudhury, dean of the Daniels College. “We are dedicated to providing an exceptional management education experience, and it’s wonderful to be recognized by U.S. News for our continued commitment to student success.”

The Morgridge College of Education had two programs rank among the top 25 in the nation. The Teacher Education Program ranks No. 18 for secondary teacher education. The program in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies (ELPS) is No. 25 in the category of best educational administration and supervision programs. Overall, the college improved 22 spots in the annual rankings.

“This type of recognition is wonderful, but what is truly impressive is what these numbers represent,” says Karen Riley, dean of the Morgridge College. “These numbers denote years of work on the part of every member of our community and reflect our collective commitment to excellence in teaching and scholarship. This type of success would also not be possible without thoughtful and deep collaborations with our community partners.”

In the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences (CAHSS), the Department of Psychology ��within the top 100. The clinical psychology program ranks No. 50, an increase of 12 spots.

“We are proud to see our clinical psychology PhD continue to be ranked among the top in the nation,” says Daniel McIntosh, dean of CAHSS. “This ranking recognizes the valuable combination of faculty-student collaboration, innovative research and powerful clinical training that characterizes the student experience in this program.”

The U.S. News & World Report rankings are based on two types of data: expert opinions about program excellence and statistical indicators that measure the quality of a school’s faculty, research and students. Rankings data comes from statistical surveys of more than 2,081 programs and from reputation surveys sent to more than 24,603 academics and professionals, conducted in fall 2019 and early 2020.
