Honoring Our Veterans and Service Members
Dear DU community members,Ìý
Today, on Veterans Day, we honor all who have served and continue to serve in our nation’s armed forces. To our veterans, active duty service members, reservists, and their families, we recognize and have deep gratitude for your courage, dedication, and somberly, your sacrifices.Ìý
At the ºÚÁÏÃÅ, we are proud of our vibrant community of nearly 700 students, faculty, and staff that have been or are affiliated with the U.S. armed forces. Through the Veterans & Military Resources office, the Sturm Center, the Rocky Mountain Veterans Advocacy Project, the Yellow Ribbon Program, and our SERV fund (which is available for all veteran students in moments of financial need), DU continues to expand its support for veterans’ education, well-being, and professional growth. The work of our faculty helps to serve veterans on and off campus—one example being Ìýon service dogs for veterans with PTSD.Ìý
DU's veteran and military-affiliated students, faculty, and staff strengthen and enrich our culture in many ways, representing theÌýrealization of pluralism in both background and experience. We are proud to work with you and learn fromÌýyou.Ìý
Thank you for your service—today and always.Ìý
