Tricks, treats, and goals
Fresh from the DU homecoming tailgate, thousands of fans鈥攎any in costume鈥攑acked Magness Arena on Halloween night to cheer on DU Men鈥檚 Hockey against Alaska Anchorage. A thrilling Pioneer goal with just 80 seconds left sent the game into overtime, though DU ultimately fell by a score of 4-3. The Halloween spirit, however, wasn鈥檛 dampened: The next night, the Pioneers came back strong, shutting out Alaska Anchorage 6-0. And somewhere in the crowd, a mysterious ghost made sure not to miss a moment of the action鈥攁 fitting spectator for a spirited Halloween weekend.
