The Lamont Symphony Orchestra opens its season with Rossini&rsquo\;s dazzling Semiramide Overture\, followed by the world premiere of Vincent in Arles and Auvers by John Heins&mdash\;an evocative new work inspired by Van Gogh&rsquo\;s final years\, featuring acclaimed violinist Yumi Hwang-Williams. The program concludes with the emotional depth and grandeur of Sibelius&rsquo\;s Symphony No. 2. Scott O&rsquo\;Neil and Bryant Denmark are the conductors.
