The program moves through powerful contrasts in mood and color\, from the luminous hope of Peter Meechan&rsquo\;s <em>Song of Hope</em> to Frank Ticheli&rsquo\;s radiant <em>Lux Perpetua</em> and Yukiko Nishimura&rsquo\;s evocative <em>Lake Superior Suite</em>. Highlights include a dazzling trumpet duet with Lamont&rsquo\;s new Trumpet professor Brian Neal and DU alum Ryan Spencer\, now a member of the U.S. Air Force Academy Band.
